WebNov 10, 2014 · After reading this on Pertronix's website, I believed i needed the 3.0 ohm Flamethrower (based on 12v / 3 ohms = 4amps, maximum for 6cyl engines) starts up great and runs fine. Drove it about 4 blocks when I was finished installing parts, died but fired right back up (after running in my driveway for a long while before the drive).
